"Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about."

Traditionalism is a way of looking at social reality in an essentialist and teleological way, assuming the existence of an order and a natural law knowable by reason, revelation, or tradition. Traditionalists emphasize duty, virtue, and human nature and seek to maintain the social order and their country's traditional values. They usually seek to preserve a range of institutions like religion with the aim of emphasizing social stability and continuity. It is on the very end of the 8values cultural spectrum. And is the complete opposite of cultural progressivism.

    Variants

    Nuclear Family Model

The Nuclear Family Model is a family model composed of one father and one mother, and usually 1 to 3 children. It's the most successful family model in the modern world, especially in the Western sphere. It is often used in opposition to Same-Sex marriage, often banning or restricting same-sex couples from adopting children, while it is also rooted in gender roles as the one father is typically considered the protector-provider while the mother is considered the carer, this means that a strict interpretation of the nuclear family opposes Feminism. This concept is in opposition to the Joint Family System which expands the family to include more distant relatives and is historically associated with Tribalism, it is typically found in rural regions of India and Pakistan. Friedreich Engels, alongside future Radical Feminists, identified the nuclear family as creating a class structure within households as women became the proletariat who served men as the bourgeoise. This has made the nuclear family more controversial in recent years.

    Joint Family System

As stated above the joint family system has roots in Tribalism as there was greater safety in numbers, when tasks would be shared out communally, this system broke down in the West according to Friedreich Engels because Capitalism had eroded traditional societal bonds of Kinship as there could only be one owner of property which meant that staying as one joint family put individuals at such a huge disadvantage that they drifted more apart and became distant. Some Postcolonial Feminists have argued that the Joint Family System is a social boon to women however and in fact when the joint family arranges marriages it makes them kinder, and objectable which ensures love is present and that families remain together.

    Perrenialism

The perennial philosophy (Latin: philosophia perennis),also referred to as perennialism and perennial wisdom, is a perspective in philosophy and spirituality that views religious traditions as sharing a single, metaphysical truth or origin from which all esoteric and exoteric knowledge and doctrine has grown.

Perennialism has its roots in the Renaissance interest in neo-Platonism and its idea of the One, from which all existence emerges. Marsilio Ficino (1433–1499) sought to integrate Hermeticism with Greek and Christian thought, discerning a prisca theologia which could be found in all ages. Giovanni Pico della Mirandola (1463–94) suggested that truth could be found in many, rather than just two, traditions. He proposed a harmony between the thought of Plato and Aristotle, and saw aspects of the prisca theologia in Averroes (Ibn Rushd), the Quran, the Kabbalah and other sources. Agostino Steuco (1497–1548) coined the term philosophia perennis.

A more popular interpretation argues for universalism, the idea that all religions, underneath seeming differences, point to the same Truth. In the early 19th century the Transcendentalists propagated the idea of a metaphysical Truth and universalism, which inspired the Unitarians, who proselytized among Indian elites. Towards the end of the 19th century, the Theosophical Society further popularized universalism, not only in the western world, but also in western colonies. In the 20th century, universalism was further popularized through the Advaita Vedanta and Sufism inspired Traditionalist School, which argued for a metaphysical, single origin of the orthodox religions, and by Aldous Huxley and his book The Perennial Philosophy, which was inspired by Neo-Vedanta.

    Personality and Behaviour

He acts like a stereotypical grumpy old man while also being extremely religious and nationalistic. He also considers himself to be a fighter for traditional values against Cultural Marxists who pose a threat to them.

He’s also very nostalgic about the old days, but not to the extent of Reactionaryism, and gets angry when others call him moderate reactionaryism

    How To Draw

    Relationships

    Guardians of Tradition

    Any culturally right ideology, especially:

    Frenemies

    Any culturally center ideology, especially:

    • Classical Liberalism - You used to revolt against tradition back in your days, but now people viewed you as me... Quite confusing.
    • National Liberalism - An example of what I have recently said except for Taiwan.
    • Libertarianism - Similar to the two above, he sometimes sides with me against the cultural Marxists.
    • Austrian School - Same as above but somewhat better.
    • Neoconservatism - Back in my day we would go together and kill some g**k, but you have conserved nothing!
    • Neo-Libertarianism - Younger version of above.
    • Dengism - You used to be neutral on culture until Xi Jinping, who's similar to me took over but tone down the restriction of religion, human experimentation and oppression of non-Han culture.
    • Manosphere - He's a fighter against feminism and cultural Marxism, only that sometimes he can be as spineless as him . Also, why do you hate women? Isn't it our mission as men to protect them? That isn't gynocentrism or anything else you claim. And, for God's sake, don't just cry and pity yourself. That isn't how you act masculine.
    • Neoliberalism - Reagan, Thatcher, etc... were brave heroes but nowadays you usually promote what they opposed. (AKA bullshit Progressive values.)
    • Anarcho-Capitalism - He likes the Icelandic Commonwealth but sometimes has progressive views.
    • Progressive Conservatism - Mixed bag, literally.
    • Esoteric Fascism - What? Esoteric knowledge and sacred traditions from aliens that visited our planet in the past? Sorry, I don't want to hear your schizophrenic jibber-jabber. Talk to your similar sicko "friends" instead.
    • Satanic Theocracy - Literally the Progressives, but your Theocratic versions are usually Traditionalist
    • Venizelism - Lukewarm Matlab but he really kicks hurt the butt of leftists.
    • Hayekism - Why you are not on my side?
    • Bonapartism - Same for you.
    • Rockefeller Republicanism - Please man up.
    • Neoreactionaryism - You confuse me, but at least you have some good ideas. Although, being pro-gay and pro-tech isn't "based" and "redpilled". You must keep an eye on your friend too; he scares me.
    • Capitalism - You should care more about your fellow man and less about material possessions.
    • Socialism - Aah, finally someone who can see that the collective matters. Wait, why are most of your followers pr*gressive?
    • Scientocracy - I have no problem with science, but some of your ideas are awful. Also, stop playing God with your genetic modification.
    • Lys Noir - Uh... What?
    • Liberal Conservatism - Aren't you lacking The second part of your name, when you take more libtarded directions? Opportunitist "Son".
    • National Bolshevism - Many of you stand up for tradition, but Nazi-Maoists and René Bidet were terrible, and Limonov liked to hang out with degenerate punks.
    • Showa Statism - At least you, unlike your two Axis friends, had roots in Japanese traditions. But did you really have to opress fellow traditionalist Asian countries like that? And then you attacked the US, so us American patriots had to beat you up.

    Filthy Cultural Marxists

    Any culturally left ideology, especially:

    • Anarcho-Primitivism - Your thoughts about past times are over. Also, ancient tribes had elders as their leaders, so anarchism is a naive utopia.
    • Nazism & Fascism - We destroyed you in WW2! Also, you committed crimes for "Alternative modernity" and junk, instead of tradition itself.
    • Homofascism - I knew it! I knew they were behind it all!
    • Hive-Mind Collectivism - Fake collectivist and get off me!
    • SJW - Damn "social justice" supporters. You will be smitten by God!
