Following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. There had already been a lot of racism against Japanese people during this time, and this attack had accelerated it further. [[File:FDRismF.png]] Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066. This order authorized the forced removal of all persons declared a threat to the US government. In this case both first generation Japanese, and their descendants that were born inside the US, and were American citizens. Japanese would be taken from their livelihoods and put into internment camps. The Japanese Americans were forced to sell everything they had within a 48 hour time period. The US government had seized everything they had owned. WIPLater on, the US distributed anti-Japanese propaganda, calling them with pejorative terms such as "Tokio (sic) kid", and being heavily caricatured, having round glasses and exaggerated buck teeth (based on Tojo's appearance).
