Kleptocracy: Difference between revisions

Line 319:
Yeltsinism advocates rapid privatization to create oligarchies while maintaining a sham democracy to appease the West.

Putinism, on the other hand, supports oligarchies that were created by Yeltsin in advance and is much more openly hostile to the West, and its sham democracy is preserved/maintained for internal, rather than external support. It also advocates the spread of kleptocracy through war, as seen from Putin's invasion of Ukraine, bringing a kleptocratic model to Crimea and parts of Donbass.
