==History==
Insofar as tribalism can be considered a "political ideology" in the traditionalmodern sense, tribalism is the oldest ideology in human history and has existed for over 200,000 years. It was not founded by anyone in particular but developed slowly over the course of human evolution. Humans are social animals and are ill equipped to survive on their own, therefore forming into groups and cooperating leads to far greater success. It remained relatively unchanged in the face of technological advancement. Many tribes adopted some technologies from settled societies, such as iron tools, horses, wagons etc, and regularly traded with civilization. Some of which even have managed to take over more technologically advanced settled societies such as the Mongol empire, forming one of the biggest empires in human, history. Since the advent of agriculture 12,000 years ago, some tribes adopted a sedentary lifestyle, but these remained a minority.

After the colonial era began, most tribes around the world began being systematically exterminated and "civilised" by European powers. within 500 years, tribalism went from being the dominant ideology by land area to being virtually extinct. Today, only a handful of tribal societies continue to exist, mostly in the most isolated parts of the Amazon, and notably on North Sentinel Island.
