Jedpilled (at the time going by the username Nerdy Squirtle) first became interested in politics after discovering the anti-sjw youtube community in early 2017, being raised a Christian, he was quickly radicalized to a significantly conservative position on economic and cultural issues, identifying as a combination of [[File:Clib.png]] [[Classical Liberalism]] and [[File:Con-t.png]] [[Conservatism]].

He continued to use the subreddit for the remainder of the year and much of 2020, very rarely posting or commenting. During this time he had referred to himself as a [[File:Paleolib.png]] [[Paleolibertarianism|Paleolibertarian]] as he started taking slightly more libertarian stances while becoming a bit further culturally right.

Early in 2020, his libertarian stances began to slowly rust away, and so he began to self describe as a [[File:Plcn2.png]] [[Paleoconservatism|Paleoconservative]].
