Is Trump a fascist?

A lot of people recently have been classifying Donald Trump as a fascist or even a Nazi. In this essay, I will compare Trump's political beliefs with the tenets of Fascism.

Project 2025

Trump's connections to the extremist Project 2025 initiative have drawn accusations of fascism. But are those accusations accurate?

First, let's examine the proposed policies of Project 2025. Project 2025 advocates for increasing presidential power, basing government policies on Christianity, implementing socially traditionalist policies such as banning DEI and removing protections for LGBT people, and for mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

Now, let's answer the question: Is Project 2025 fascist in nature? The answer to this question is quite simple: Project 2025 is quasi-fascist, but not fully fascist. The reasoning for this classification is that Project 2025 fits some of the tenants of Fascism, but not all. It fits the tenants of strong traditionalism, autocracy, and militarism, but doesn't fully fit the tenants of totalitarianism or ultranationalism.

Conclusion

A lot of you may think that ending the essay here would be strange. However, my reasonable classification of Project 2025 as quasi-fascist also gives an answer to the same question regarding Trump. Project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation have heavy connections to Trump and his campaign.

In conclusion, Trump is quasi-fascist, but not fully fascist. So the accusations are only partially correct.

A leftist argument for gun rights

My views on gun issues are different from many other people on the left. I believe in gun rights for self-defense purposes.

Minority gun ownership

For example, if a white supremacist were attempting to commit a hate crime against a black person, the black person should be able to defend themselves. The argument that I'm making here is that gun rights could prevent hate crimes of any type.

Armed proletariat

The proletariat should be armed in order to defend itself against capitalism and other oppressive forces. This is a rather simple argument.

Resistance against oppression in general

Arms may be needed in order to defend against oppressive and imperialist forces. For example, if a imperialist state attempted to colonize an native population, the population should be able to defend themselves using arms.

Also, if a authoritarian or totalitarian government were to take power, arms could be used for resistance against the oppressive government.

Why conservative "socialism" is a oxymoron

There has been a slight rise in the popularity of self-proclaimed "socialists" with socially conservative ideals. People with these ideals such as George Galloway have used the genocide of Palestinians in an attempt to gain votes from progressives and to hide their unacceptable stances on LGBTQ people.

In this essay, I will debunk the arguments of conservative "socialists" and explain why social conservatism is incompatible with the true principles of socialism.

Socialism means resisting all kinds of oppression

A major tenet of socialism can be defined using the phrase "Oppressed peoples of the world, unite!" A major tenet of socialism is the support of all oppressed peoples, including LGBTQ peoples. Conservative "socialists" might as well throw out their opposition to imperialism if they disagree with this.

"Progressivism is Western in nature!"

This is a completely made up argument mainly made up by the large factions of the conservative socialist movement that support countries such as Russia.

Infact, communists in countries such as the Philippines are known for their support of same-sex marriage and progressivism. Even if acceptance of LGBTQ ideals is a western idea, that's not an excuse not to support LGBTQ people.

Conservatism and the status quo

Conservatives want to preserve the status quo. They want to conserve capitalism, the system that leads to the oppression of the working class. They dont want the flawed capitalist system to change, and hence, conservatism is incompatible with ideals such as socialism.

In conclusion, conservative ideals are extremely incompatible with socialism, and progressivism is a major tenet of socialism.

Right-wing terrorism and how social media commentators influence it

In the 21st century, multiple mass shootings and terrorist attacks have been carried out by right-wing terrorists. These abhorrent terrorist attacks have instigated by far-right pundits and politicians.

Libs Of TikTok, also known by her real name, Chaya Raichik, is a social media figure known for spreading homophobic content on social media platforms. In August 2022, Raichik spread information claiming that the Boston Children's hospital had been providing gender-affirming care for minors. This led to the hospital getting death and bomb threats.

Why Corporatism is flawed

Some people see Corporatism as good compromise for class conflict. However, this strain of thought is merely stupid. Corporatism attempts to gain a compromise between the worker and the employer. How do you expect the worker to agree with their oppressor?

Corporatism is basically State Capitalism with extra steps, as it promotes state ownership of the entire economy, a economic system that denies the owner access to their work. It is also civically totalitarian in nature, as this system is also coupled with the destruction of civil liberties and the establishment of a dictatorship where the state has superior authority over the nation.
