Some Anarcho-Nihilists (Serafinski) take a pessimistic stance that political change won't happen in the visible time. Among these Nihilists ecological pessimism and misanthropy are also popular. Other Nihilists (Flower Bomb), although disillusioned, still hope for the future feral life free from social institutions.

There's a great confusion between Anarcho-Nihilism and existential nihilism. The latter is the philosophy denying all values, hence «meaninglessness of life». Meanwhile, «nihilism» in Anarcho-Nihilism means radical rebellion against civilization.

Another common confusion is that between Anarcho-Nihilism and absolute pessimism. It's true that Anarcho-Nihilists are often depressed, but it doesn't mean they hate life; what they really hate is repressive structures being forced upon them.
