While LGBT rights have unfortunately been to some degree oppressed under most if not all explicitly pro-LGBT authoritarian states, especially theocracies. I am not sure if traditional buddhist socialism as practiced from historical movements would be as LGBT friendly as is presented here, when the character here seems more akin to today's western leftists, seems a little eurocentric and presentist to said (typically more traditionalist) movements
