Essentially a terrorist group, this Hindutva militia was initially founded by [[Fascism|Savarkar]] in the early 1900s. It died out, but eventually was restored by former military officer, [[Stratocracy|Major Ramesh Upadhyay]], in the early 2000s. This group was responsible for the 2008 Malegaon bombing, and even tried to assassinate the leader of the RSS, who they deemed was not Hindutva enough. The terrorist group was responsible for countless other bombings and attacks with many civilian casualties, such as the Ajmer Sharif Dargah blast, 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings, the Mecca Masjid bombing, and more. |
