Neoconservatism originated in Poland after the collapse of Communismcommunism in 1989. Polish Left-Wing President Aleksander Kwaśniewski, despite being a former communist, was really supportive of NATO andleading to Poland joinedjoining NATO, during his presidency in 1999,. Kwaśniewski also intervened in Iraq along with Blair and Bush JR. Currently, Neoconservatism is supported, mostly in Poland by the rulingpolitical party "Law and Justice" (PiS), by former President, Lech Kaczyński,; current President Andrzej Duda,; and ministerthe former Minister of defenseDefense, Antoni Macierewicz.
