Joseph, along with [[File:Thatcher.png]] [[Neoliberalism|Margaret Thatcher]], founded the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_for_Policy_Studies Centre for Policy Studies] in 1973. The Centre is a think tank and pressure group that was originally created to study and promote the social market economy. Joseph wrote the first piece published by the centre, titled "Why Britain needs a social market economy."
