Progressive fascists are supporters of [[File:PalUltranat.png]] palingenetic ultranationalism, but believe national rebirth should entail the creation of a [[File:Prog-u.png]] dynamic, inclusive society and culture, often adding less emphasis on [[File:React.png]] [[Reactionaryism|returning to a mythical past]] than other fascist/third-positionist ideologies. It therefore seeks to eliminate traditions and customs they feel hinder the creation of a progressive nation-state, such as religion and sexual morality. Despite their fervent anti-conservativism, futurist fascists still agree with other fascists on [[File:Totalitarian.png]] [[Totalitarianism|civics]], [[File:Corptism.png]] [[Corporatism|corporatism]], and [[File:Mil.png]] [[Stratocracy|militarism]]; in fact, they usually perceive a totalitarian state, whether in the [[File:Gentile.png]] Gentilean or hyper-authoritarian sense, as necessary to violently remove the "olds" in a similar vein to [[File:Mao.png]] [[Maoism]]. The most known instance of this is [[File:Marinetti.png]] Marinetti's Futurist Party, which would later merge with and try to influence Mussolini's National Fascist Party; [[File:Fashkemal.png]] [[Kemalism|Pekerism]] and certain members of the [[File:3princ.png]] [[Tridemism|Kuomintang]] were also progressive fascists. Most movements or individuals who can be called "progressive fascists" are also [[File:Fut2.png]] futurists.
In many cases the term is often employed by [[File:Con.png]] conservatives and other culturally right-wing ideologies as an attack on [[File:Soclib.png]] [[Social Liberalism|social liberals]] and [[File:Prog-u.png]] [[Progressivism|progressives]] who exhibit [[File:Totalitarian.png]] totalitarian or [[File:Sec.png]] authoritarian tendencies. The term, for example, is often applied to [[File:JustinTrudeau.png]] Justin Trudeau, who has pushed for hate speech laws and (allegedly) attempted to suppress right-wing dissent.
