We are not allowed to imagine new futures beyond capitalism. We are constantly faced with the inability to create the new. unable to reach the future we seek for the past and engage in helpless nostalgia. Thus its not surprising how most leftist political ideas are stuck in the past and are impotent to any effectiveness in present day society. for example ive seen socialist parties here in Brazil advocating for a policy of compulsory work which, to say the least, doesnt create any freedom for the working class and is a dirty pointless revival of stalinism. Not to mention the vast majority of the left wich can't go beyond electoralism in liberal democracy. Leftist debate is splattered with revived arguments that have no actual importance (kronstadt, etc). We should rid ourselves of this bullshit! Recent events showed us the fragility of capitalist realism and proved that we are able to create new forms of radical organization. So let the working class free itself from the old institutions and create the conditions for the revolution!
The tansitionary period aka the dictatorship of the proletariat is born when the working class destroys the bourgeois state institutions and creates new state institutions prompt to it's interests. As Lenin put it: "Revolution consists not in the new class commanding, governing with the aid of the old state machine, but in this class smashing this machine and commanding, governing with the aid of a new machine." It's important to point out that my aim here is to express what I think it would be the "best" form the transitionary period could take in general (considering the conditions I see now in the 21st century especially where I live), not to lay out a model which every revolution must follow. And I recognize that many times the "best" form cannot be realized because of an "unforeseen" situation such as a civil war, for example. With that said I realized the best way to develop this is dividing it into two sections: one dedicated to the democratic instituons, and the other dedicated to what is to be done in the economic measures.
The legislative body should be put in direct control of the whole population of workers i.e. referemdus where everyone can vote. The executive body should be composed of elected ministers one for each ministry that are subject to revoking. The judicial body should be decided by an elected president of the judiciary, also subject to revoking. Someone should be elected to represent the country in foreign affairs, being the chairman of the country (that person can run in another election so for example he can be both the minister of defense and the chairman of the country). The salaries of all of them should be average salaries. Any party is allowed as long as it is not counter revolutionary but you don't have to be in a party to run in elections and I personally prefer non partisan democracy. Current technology can be used to enhance and facilitate the democratic process (voting through your phone or something like that). Federalism is good as it ensures regional autonomy but we shoudn't leave centralization behind, so different regions would be autonomous to some extent but would still be subject to the central government.
I woudn't classify the transitionary period as socialism nor communism. it is rather the period that lies between capitalism and socialism/communism. So transforming most of the capitalist enterprises into worker owned self-managed cooperatives would be great as they can assure worker autonomy to a great extent. All of the enterprises that belong to sectors that produce natural monopolies (like the energy sector for example) should be state owned and also other companies in strategic sectors could be state owned for state planning. These state owned enterprises could preserve some level of worker democracy (like workers being able to vote for their managers). Also stuff like water, electricity, gas networks, transportation infrastructure, banks, sewer infrastructure would all be nationalized and universal free public healthcare and universal free public education would be established. The small business would have to undergo a process of transition into cooperatives. So small private business would still be allowed but they would have to submit to a lot of requirements (6 hours workday, maximum wage, etc). That would boost the transformation of the private sector into coops. Some level of regulationism would generally be necessary in the market. Now talking about taxes I think the main ones should be a progressive tax along with a high inheritance tax (close to 100%). Landlords should get expropriated by the peasents and agricultural cooperatives and communes should be created, although individual farming would still be allowed as long as you don't hire anyone and you would be subject to more taxation.
Disclaimer: As I already pointed out this is not a model to be followed but rather what I think is the best way to organize the dotp in general but especially in Brazil. So for example the Rebel Zapatista Autonomous Municipalities don't align with my "model" but I still believe they are a great form of the dotp promt to their conditions.
72hours - We certanly agree on a lot but you believe in much more centralization. Anarcho-Communism - You have some good ideas but i dont see how we can abolish capitalism without a transitionary period with a state.
Market Socialism - I think this can work as a transitionary period but not as a final goal since market systems are necessarily contradictory.
Classical Liberalism - I would probably support you if I was born like... 300 years ago.
Social Democracy - You are very very good at capitalism. That's exactly why you're so bad.
Marxism-Leninism - Rid yourself of the ghosts from the past and work more on building a new future.
State Capitalism and 
State Socialism - The type of socialism which proposes the convertion of every enterprise into state owned enterprises is what I like to call warren buffet socialism. That's because it doesn't do away with capital it instead changes only where this capital goes to, that being to the whole society rather than individual capitalists. But that in fact changes litte to nothing in the eyes of the worker. He still has no control over how much he works, he is still faced with bureaucratic authority in the workplace and most obviously his labour power is still exploited towards the generation of surplus value. I would doubt any socialist disagrees with me when I say warren buffett does't stop being a capitalist just because he has promised to give away 99% of his wealth when he dies. So why would these same socialists argue that this system is socialist when it reproduces the same logic?
