"Yaoi" is primarily media consumed by and made for young women that project heterosexual female love onto fictional homosexual male characters, while "Bara" is primarily consumed by and for male gays into big guys and hunks, something which homofascism absolutely would be much more into instead of stuff made by "w*men" (Obviously fudanshi's exist but yaoi still is primarily by and for women)
