Capitalism is an ideology representing a broad range of ideologies that fall under the umbrella of "Capitalism". But we will define it by the following

  1. Private ownership of the means of production (The means of production are owned by certain individuals, not the workers or society as a whole)
  2. The exchange of goods and services in a market economy (Individuals buy and sell material things)
  3. Wage Labour (Workers are employed, and work the hours that they and their employees agree on them to work to earn a certain and previously arranged salary)
  4. Free financial markets and access to capital
  5. Big accumulation of capital goods (Labor force, the place where they produce wealth and the means by they do so) and free access to them in the markets

Capitalismball can fall under any cultural and statist position but is always is on the right-wing on the economic spectrum (unless you're Capitalist-communism ball)

History

The expression "capitalist", which means a proprietor of capital, shows up sooner than the expression "private enterprise" and dates to the mid-seventeenth century. Capitalism is obsessed with money and is portrayed as wealthy and owning several businesses. He is extremely anti-tax, anti-public property, pro-private ownership of capital.
