Also adding cultural nationalism and pagan nationalism

    • curprev 16:1416:14, 21 November 2023AnAnonBoi123 talk contribs 31,978 bytes −176 religious nationalism as how it is practiced in native advocacy is kind of weird, while yes, a lot of Native people might be more or less "fine" with other religions, christianity in particular, with many, especially older generations having long since been staunch followers (typically having been converted long ago) many others are fiercely anti-christian, and see it as inherently antithetical to indigenous self-determination especially due to it being brought by genocide
    • curprev 15:4915:49, 21 November 2023AnAnonBoi123 talk contribs 32,154 bytes −352 As much as I myself do not like it, and think it is extremely misguided I think it's a case-by-case basis whether or not a native nation would want to be identified on the basis of their ethnicity which they have long since been discriminated against for. A lot of the anti-colonial anti-colonial groups seek to create a nation by and for Indians, just like a lot of other victimized minority advocacy groups do, and I feel it's kinda not our place to judge victims of genocide for feeling this way.
