Not to be confused with Capitalist Communism and Dengism.

State Capitalism (StateCap) is an economic system in which the state takes an active role within commercial activity through the use of state-owned or state-managed for-profit enterprises. State capitalism can be partial (meaning that a state-owned co-exist with private ones) or full in which it is called state monopoly capitalism (StateMoCap). State capitalism has been classified as both economically right-wing (as the means of production don't belong to the working class) and left-wing (as it is collectivist in nature).

    History

State Capitalism is believed by some to have first been used and coined, by   Friedrich Engels, in his and   Marx's book "Socialism: Utopic and Scientific". It was later on also used by many   Anarchists,   Left Communists, and   Council Communists, in criticism of the   USSR.

Modern use of the term usually refers to the economic system adopted by the "Four Asian Tigers" and Japan in the second half of the 20th century, where it was successful in rapidly industrialising and modernising those economies.

    Beliefs

Due to the fact that beliefs vary, it's best that the ideology is divided into 3 groups: Those who believe in all industries should be run as private companies with the government as the sole shareholder, those who believe in government companies should compete with private companies to provide certain service, and those who believe in sovereign wealth funds, where the government investments in certain industries and uses the investments to build up savings.

    How to Draw

    Flag of State Capitalism

The symbol of State Capitalism comes from a post on the r/vexillology subreddit by SekaiDarkness called "Flag of State Capitalism/Corporatism", the flag is supposed to symbolise an in between of   capitalism and   communism.

    2. Draw a yellow left-facing cent symbol (¢) and a yellow arrow crossed through it.

    You're done!
