Showa Statism also called Showa Nationalism and shortened Showaism was a totalitarian, culturally far-right, economically right-leaning (specifically corporatism) and expansionist ideology which was practiced in Japan during the first half of the reign of Emperor Showa (who was called Hirohito at the time). He is not very fluent at English, as he grew up speaking Japanese.

Beliefs
Due the fact that Showa Japan was militarily allied with the Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy and shared ideological similarities, Showa Statism is usually taken to be a type of Fascism, although this is disputed by some. It believes that the "Yamato race" (Japanese race) is superior to all other East-Asian races (and debatably all other races of the world). It wants to "civilize" (colonize) East Asia, creating the concept of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere", to justify their imperialistic ambitions.
