Dengism, officially Socialism with Chinese characteristics or Deng Xiaoping Theory, is an authoritarian, economically debatable (but definitely pro-markets, at least in the short term), nationalist, and culturally mixed ideology.
Dengism saw that in order for 
China to adjust to its present economic conditions, 
capitalism, with party influence and foreign investment, would have to be implemented to increase productivity. This theoretically lifts China out from its primary stage of capitalism into socialism.
History
The ideology was first formulated and implemented by Deng Xiaoping during the late 1970’s-1980’s under himself and continues to be practiced by his successors and is now the dominant faction within the Chinese communist party or CCP for short.
Beliefs
He believes in what he calls “File:Soc.pngSocialism with Chinese characteristics”, where the adoption of market economics is seen as a pragmatic step. Deng himself said: "It doesn't matter whether a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice."
While "Dengism" usually refers to the economic theories and practices of Deng Xiaoping, it can also, in some cases, be used to represent the cultural policies of Deng and following leaders. In this case, Dengism is against many File:Prog.png progressive practices such as lax drug restrictions and homosexuality. Whether it's to promote order by appealing to its conservative citizens after regretting the progressive excesses of the Cultural Revolution or to prevent "Western bourgeois" influence is debatable.
Nonetheless, Dengism is unafraid to promote Chinese homogeneity and generally enacts policies that favor Han Chinese. He even attempts to "Sinicise" ethnic minorities and shows great disdain for minorities that are separatist or "reactionary". However, even other Han Chinese who don't live under his complete jurisdiction (e.g. Taiwan, Hong Kong etc.) aren't spared.
How to Draw
Dengism's symbol is the flag of the People's Republic of China with the main star replaced with a yuan (¥) symbol. The flag is supposed to represent a stark contrast between socialist principles of the PRC with its market economy.
