Apolitical stage

I simply didn't care about Politics.

Autocratic stage

I once dreamed of ruling the World as an Absolute ruler because I was fairly young and I was inspired by Supervillians in cartoon shows.

Platonist stage

I soon abandoned "Communism" because I began to see it as unrealistic and naive (however I remained sceptical of unregulated Capitalism) and instead I began to read about history, religion and philosophy, I was amazed by the accomplisments of the Anchient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans and I was particulary interested in anchient Greek Philosophy and I chose Socrates and Platon as my favorite philosopers and my political believes at that time were very similar to those that Plato had (3 Class system, Philosopher kings, city states, eugenics etc.). I mostly abandoned my dream of World Hegemony because I began to see large Empires as unstable and and fragile.

Panarchist stage

I was researching on Wikipedia on forms of gouvernment and found one to be very interesting: Panarchy Panarchism advocates that every person has a right to secede from their old gouvernment and form an own one or join another gouvernment without leaving the country, these gouvernments would be in competition to each other in a laissez faire manner and ideally the gouvernment that manages to come out on top would be the best choice. I was very fascinated by that idea and I thought if some people in the past could found states then everyone should be able to do it. I myself largely remained by Platos ideas of gouvernance and I also thought about starting a cult at that time.

Nationalist stage

I began to watch the News and heard about the Civil War in Syria. I heard about how the Terrorist Organisation known as ISIS managed to occupy north-eastern Syria and north-western Iraq as well as comitting countless atrocities there. I also heard that that Terroist organisation was also commiting attacks in my home country, Germany. These Informations shaped my view on Islamists up until today and I began to get interested in my countries politics. In 2015 Europe experienced a refugee crisis with many people from the middle east, mostly Syria coming here, people that grew up in a completely different culture and society were coming to Germany and It wasn't long until conflict arose. Because of worries in the German population and some incidents between predominantly muslim Migrants and Germans Right-wing populist sentiment in Germany arose which led to the AfD (Alternative for Germany) entering the Bundestag. I myself was influenced by the News and events of that time, I also began to read about the History of Germany and reading books about politics and I also discovered the genre of Mapping and Polandball. After a while I began considering myself as a Patriot and I started indentifying myself with the German Nation more up to the point where I could be considered a Nationalist and in retrospect some of my views could be even considered Proto-Fascist since had Irredentist dreams of a Greater Germany "from the Maas to the Memel From the Etsch to the Belt" and sought to maybe even get revenge on the Western allies though a military and economic alliance with Putin's Russia and China. As for my Economics I adopted the concept of Freiwirtschaft which basically is a German version of Georgism including a currency that looses value overtime. I intended for the spending of the revenues from the land to be spents for the assistance of families. I also discovered mapping communities on youtube and Polandball.

Shift to the left

I began to realize that the European Union doesn't restricts Germany, but infact benefits it though common markets and political influence. I also realized that allying with Russia and China would cause the Baltics (and most importantly Estonia) to fall under Russian influence and possibly even Germany itself, which is why I for the most part abandoned Irredentism and Nationalism in favour of European Cooperation. I also realized the danger of global warming, therefore becoming even more Envrionmentalist than I already was. Most of my views at that time were influenced by an Israeli author called Yuval Noah Harari, in his first book "A brief History of Mankind" he explained how Humanity conquered the earth, established cultures and civilisations and much more. In his second book "21 lessons for the 21st Century" he wrote about what challenges the modern world faces and and how we should think about it. In his third book "Homo Deus" he talks about Transhumanism and a Post-scarcity society. His views influenced mine to this day greatly, although I have tiny disagreements with him about religion since he as an Atheist sees Religion and Spiritual beings generally as social constructs while I am a Pagan who believes that the gods are real.

Anprim Arc

For some time I held quasi-Anarcho Primitivist views, because I thought as things were Industrial Civilisation would likely collapse in the span of a century because of not enough oil. I saw going back to the pre-agricultural times as preferable because the way people lived back then was much more compatible with Human nature than both Agrarianism and Industrialism. However at some point I regained hope that we might still be able to fix our problems and therefore we wouldn't need to give up Industralism completely.

Anti-Centrist stage

I watched Jreg's Centricide series as well as his other content and agreed a lot with it, therefore I openly embraced radicalism (again). I also discovered Polcompball which caused me to see the true diversity of Ideologies in this world from which I could draw my ideas.

Monarcho-Socialist stage

I got into Socialism though three inspirations: 1. I've read Sarah Wagenknechts book Freiheit statt Kapitalismus (Freedom instead of Kapitalism) which gave me a different perspective on Economics. 2. I've looked up the political systems of Rojava and the Zapatista, which heavily inspired me and was proof for me that Democratic Socialism can work. I also adapted the idea of council Democracy. 3. I started watching the videos of Viki1999, she explained a lot of Marxist concepts in her videos, but she also defended Authoritarian countries for an example the Soviet Union and China. If my family hadn't had lived under the USSR I maybe would've thought that it actually was a Democratic country. Nontheless it still helped me to see the perspective of the other side of the Cold War.

Under a Confederation the constituent states are part of a Confederated state but keep souvereignity, meaning they can leave the Confederation whenever they wish to do so and Confederations often need the consent of all member states to make a decision. It basically Federalism but the member states have even more power. As for Switzerland it is rather a Federal state than a Confederal one ever since the Sonderbundkrieg (seperate alliance war).

• Template:UserPantheon -Hmmm. Good question actually. So I wouldn't support a divided Germany and I might even support military force against those bavarian rebels. On the other hand if Germany treated bavaria as bad as Turkey treats the Kurds I would have some understanding for them, while still opposing terrorist attacks.

Another example: After world war two (during which Germany had brutally occupied Poland and commited genocide there) the Soviets and Poles commited an ethnic cleansing on the Germans in Pommerania, East Prussia, Easten Brandenburg and Silesia, even on my own family as a revenge for WWII and to move the Polish border west. While I still think that that was a horrible act I wouldn't want Germany to attempt to reconquer and recolonize those territories since that would cause even more violence and Germany benefits from European cooperation. Also most Kurds and even the PKK don't want Independence anymore, they just want Autonomy and while Bavaria already enjoys great Autonomy and is treated well in Germany, the Kurds in Turkey are not.

In history there were many people that wanted to abolish the Monarchy, some went rather well like the American Revolution, the Turkish etc. but many other revolutions failed miserably and led to Millions of deaths, the collapse of countries and Totalitarian genocidal states that crushed any opposition. modern Monarchies, such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway and other European Monarchies are among the most delevoped countries on Earth, with great education and high living standarts while many Republics, like in Africa, the middle east, south America and partly Asia have an extreme amount of problems. I sympathize with Republicanism since religious institutions that are involved in higher layers of gouvernment often become corrupt, opportunistic and oppressive, although local community gouvernments should be free to adapt more relgious forms of gouverment if they wish to (in certain limits of course) but Secularism is generally way better than Theocracies and State Atheist societies.

His dream of what he referred to as a "Great Civilization" (Persian: تمدن بزرگ, romanized: tamadon-e bozorg) in Iran led to a rapid industrial and military modernization, as well as economic and social reforms. Mohammad Reza introduced the White Revolution, a series of reforms which rapidly modernized the nation by nationalizing key industries and land redistribution with the intention of transforming Iran into a global power. The Shah initiated major investments in infrastructure, subsidies and land grants for peasant populations, profit sharing for industrial workers, construction of nuclear facilities, the nationalization of Iran’s natural resources, and literacy programs which were considered some of the most effective in the world. The Shah also instituted economic policy tariffs and preferential loans to Iranian businesses which sought to create an independent economy for the nation. Manufacturing of cars, appliances, and other goods in Iran increased substantially leading to the creation of a new industrialist class that was considered insulated from threats of foreign competition. By the 1970s, the Shah was seen as mastered statesman and used his growing power to pass the 1973 Sale and Purchase Agreement. These reforms culminated in decades of sustained economic growth that would make Iran one of the fastest-growing economies of both developed and undeveloped nations. During his 38-year rule, Iran spent billions on industry, education, health, and armed forces and enjoyed economic growth rates exceeding the United States, Britain, and France. National income rose 423 times over. The nation saw an unprecedented rise in per capita income rising to the highest level at any point in Iran's history and high levels of urbanization. By 1977, Iran's armed services spending, which the Shah saw as a means to end foreign intervention in Iran, had made the nation the world's fifth strongest military.

The White Revolution (Persian: انقلاب سفید Enqelāb-e Sefid) or the Shah and People Revolution (Persian: انقلاب شاه و مردم Enqelāb-e Shāh o Mardom) was a far-reaching series of reforms resulting in aggressive modernization in Iran launched on 26 January 1963 by the Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, which lasted until 1979. The reforms resulted in greatly redistributing wealth to Iran's working class, explosive economic growth in subsequent decades, rapid urbanization, and deconstructed Iran's feudalist customs. The reforms were characterized by high economic growth rates, major investments in infrastructure, substantial growth in per capita wealth and literacy of Iranians. The economic growth and education advancement arguably paved the way for the Shah's military arms build-up and the establishment of Iran as a major geopolitical power in the Middle East. It consisted of several elements, including land reform, sale of some state-owned factories to finance the land reform, construction of an expanded road, rail, and air network, a number of dam and irrigation projects, the eradication of diseases such as malaria, the encouragement and support of industrial growth, enfranchisement of women, nationalization of forests and pastures, formation of literacy and health corps for rural isolated areas, and institution of profit-sharing schemes for workers in the industry. In the 1960s and 1970s, the Shah sought to develop a more independent foreign policy and established working relationships with the Soviet Union and eastern European nations. In subsequent decades, per capita income for Iranians greatly increased, and oil revenue fueled an enormous increase in state funding for industrial development projects. The White Revolution launched government-subsidized land grants to millions of working-class families and the creation of Iran's Literacy corps who doubled the nations literacy rates. The Shah wanted all Iranian citizens to be able to live an educated and prosperous lifestyle. The bulk of the program was aimed at Iran's peasantry while redistributing the aristocrat landlord class wealth down to working class Iranians. Thus the White Revolution in Iran represented a new attempt to introduce reform from above and preserve traditional power patterns. Through land reform, the essence of the White Revolution, the Shah hoped to ally himself with the peasantry in the countryside, and hoped to sever their ties with the aristocracy in the city. In order to legitimize the White Revolution, the Shah called for a national referendum in early 1963 in which 5,598,711 people voted for the reforms, and 4,115 voted against the reforms, though the referendum was boycotted by the opposition to the Shah. The White Revolution contributed towards the economic and technological advancement of Iran. Mohammad Reza Shah had intended it to be a non-violent regeneration of Iranian society through economic and social reforms, with the ultimate long-term aim of transforming Iran into a global economic and industrial power. The Shah introduced economic concepts such as profit-sharing for workers and initiated massive government-financed heavy industry projects, as well as the nationalization of forests and pastureland. Most important, however, were the land reform programs which saw the traditional landed elites of Iran lose much of their influence and power. Nearly 90% of Iranian sharecroppers became landowners as a result. Socially, the platform granted women more rights and poured money into education, especially in the rural areas. A Literacy Corps was established, which allowed young men to fulfill their compulsory military service by working as village literacy teachers. The White Revolution consisted of 19 elements that were introduced over a period of 16 years, with the first 6 introduced on January 9, 1963, and put to a national referendum on January 26, 1963.

Land Reforms Program and Abolishing "Feudalism": The government bought the land during the Iranian Land Reform from the feudal landlords at what was considered to be a fair price and sold it to the peasants at 30% below the market value, with the loan being payable over 25 years at very low interest rates. This made it possible for 1.5 million peasant families, who had once been little more than slaves, to own the lands that they had been cultivating all their lives. Given that the average size of a peasant family was 5, the land reforms program brought freedom to approximately 9 million people, or 40% of Iran's population.

Nationalization of Forests and Pasturelands: Many measures were introduced, not only to protect the national resources and stop the destruction of forests and pasturelands, but also to further develop and cultivate them. More than 9 million trees were planted in 26 regions, creating 70,000 acres (280 km2) of "green belts" around cities and on the borders of the major highways.

Profit Sharing for industrial workers in private sector enterprises, giving the factory workers and employees 20% share of the net profits of the places where they worked and securing bonuses based on higher productivity or reductions in costs.

Extending the Right to Vote to Women, who previously did not enjoy this right. This measure was criticized by some of the clergy. Formation of the Literacy Corps, so that those who had a high school diploma and were required to serve their country as soldiers could do so by fighting illiteracy in the villages. In 1963 approximately 2/3 of the population was illiterate, with 1/3 found mainly in the capital city of Tehran.

Formation of the Health Corps to extend public health care throughout the villages and rural regions of Iran. In 3 years, almost 4,500 medical groups were trained; nearly 10 million cases were treated by the Corps.

Formation of the Reconstruction and Development Corps to teach the villagers the modern methods and techniques of farming and keeping livestock. Agricultural production between 1964 and 1970 increased by 80% in tonnage and 67% in value.

Formation of the Houses of Equity where 5 village elders would be elected by the villagers, for a period of 3 years, to act as arbitrators in order to help settle minor offences and disputes. By 1977 there were 10,358 Houses of Equity serving over 10 million people living in over 19,000 villages across the country.

Nationalization of all Water Resources, introduction of projects and policies in order to conserve and benefit from Iran's limited water resources. Many dams were constructed and five more were under construction in 1978. A result of these measures was the area of land under irrigation increased from 2 million acres (8,000 km2), in 1968, to 5.6 million in 1977.

Urban and Rural Modernization and Reconstruction with the help of the Reconstruction and Development Corps. Building of public baths, schools and libraries; installing water pumps and power generators for running water and electricity.

Didactic Reforms that improved the quality of education by diversifying the curriculum in order to adapt to the necessities of life in the modern world.

Workers' Right to Own Shares in the Industrial Complexes where they worked by turning industrial units, with 5 years history and over, into public companies, where up to 99% of the shares in the state-owned enterprises and 49% of the shares of the private companies would be offered for sale to the workers of the establishment at first and then to the general public.

Price Stabilization and campaign against unreasonable profiteering (1975). Owners of factories and large chain stores were heavily fined, with some being imprisoned and other's licenses being revoked. Sanctions were imposed on multi-national foreign companies and tons of merchandise stored for speculative purposes were confiscated and sold to consumers at fixed prices.

Free and Compulsory Education and a daily free meal for all children from kindergarten to 14 years of age. Primary schools were built in hundreds of villages that previously did not have one.

In 1978, 25% of Iranians were enrolled in public schools alone. In that same year there were 185,000 students of both sexes studying in Iran's universities. In addition to the above there were over 100,000 students pursuing their studies abroad, of which 50,000 were enrolled in colleges and universities in the United States.

Free Food for Needy Mothers and for all newborn babies up to the age of two.

Introduction of Social Security and National Insurance for all Iranians. The National Insurance system provided for up to 100% of the wages during retirement.

Stable and Reasonable Cost of Renting or Buying of Residential Properties (1977). Controls were placed on land prices and various forms of land speculation.

Introduction of Measures to Fight against Corruption within the bureaucracy. The Imperial Inspection Commission was founded, consisting of representatives from administrative bodies and people of proven integrity.

There was a minor industrial revolution during this period of reform. Port facilities were improved, the Trans-Iranian Railway was expanded, and the main roads connecting Tehran and provincial capitals were asphalted. Many small factories opened up specializing in clothing, food processing, cement, tiles, paper, and home appliances. Larger factories for textiles, machine tools, and car assembly were also opened.[9] Educational institutions also grew after the launching of the White Revolution. Enrollment in kindergarten increased from 13,300 to 221,990, elementary schools from 1,640,000 to 4,080,000, secondary schools from 370,000 to 741,000 and colleges from 24,885 to 145,210. Not only were new schools opening, but they were also instituting new educational policies designed to undercut clerical control over education and religious education. The Literacy Corps also helped raise the literacy rate from 26 to 42 percent. The White Revolution also included certain reforms of women's rights. Women gained the right to vote, to run for elected office and to serve as lawyers and later judges. The marriageable age for women was also raised to fifteen.

Iran experienced explosive economic expansion with an annual economic growth rate averaging at 9.8%. There was a substantial rise in the Iranian middle class with over one million families becoming small business owners and an estimated 700,000 salaried professionals. The large economic growth was later used to fund arms build up by the Shah who spent billions on purchasing foreign weapons establishing Iran as a geopolitical power. The history of the Persian empire was taught as means to make people feel part of Iran. In the textbook for the third year of high school, for instance, the interference of the Zoroastrian clergy in politics caused the defeat of the Sasanian empire by the Muslim armies. Therefore, religious interference in political affairs was taught to be extremely dangerous.

Economically, the White Revolution was very successful. The White Revolution successfully redistributed land to approximately 2.5 million families, established literacy and health corps targeting Iran's rural areas, and resulted in a slew of social and legal reform. In the decades following the revolution, per capita income for Iranians skyrocketed. The rapid rise in Iran's revenues paved the way for increased state spending used to fund major industrial development projects in Iran.

In the 1970s, Iran had an economic growth rate equal to that of South Korea, Turkey and Taiwan, and Western journalists all regularly predicted that Iran would become a First World nation within the next generation. Significantly, a "reverse brain drain" had begun with Iranians who had been educated in the West returning home to take up positions in government and business. The firm of Iran National ran by the Khayami brothers had become by 1978 the largest automobile manufacturer in the Middle East producing 136,000 cars every year while employing 12,000 people in Meshed. One of the Khayami brothers complained if it had not been for the revolution "Iran National would be where the South Korean car industry is today". Mohammad Reza had strong étatist tendencies and was deeply involved in the economy, with his economic policies bearing a strong resemblance to the same étatist policies being pursued simultaneously by General Park Chung-hee in South Korea. Mohammad Reza considered himself to be a socialist, saying he was "more socialist and revolutionary than anyone". Reflecting his self-proclaimed socialist tendencies, although unions were illegal, the Shah brought in labour laws that were "surprising fair to workers". Iran in the 1960s and 70s was a tolerant place for the Jewish minority with one Iranian Jew, David Menasheri, remembering that Mohammad Reza's reign was the "golden age" for Iranian Jews when they were equals, and when the Iranian Jewish community was one of the wealthiest Jewish communities in the world. The Baha'i minority also did well after the bout of persecution in the mid-1950s ended with several Baha'i families rising to prominence in the world of Iranian business.

Under his reign, Iran experienced over a decade of double-digit GDP growth coupled with major investments in military and infrastructure.

The Shah's first economic plan was geared towards large infrastructure projects and improving the agricultural sector which led to the development of many major dams particularly in Karaj, Safīdrūd, and Dez. The next economic plan was directed and characterized by an expansion in the credit and monetary policy of a nation which resulted in a rapid expansion of Iran's private sector, particularly construction. From the period 1955–1959, real gross fixed capital formation in the private sector saw an average annual increase of 39.3%. By 1963, the Shah had begun a redistribution of land offering compensation to landlords valued on previous tax assessments, and the land obtained by the government was then sold on favorable terms to Iranian peasants. 1963–1978 represented the longest period of sustained growth in per capita real income the Iranian economy ever experienced. During the 1963–77 period gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by an average annual rate of 10.5% with an annual population growth rate of around 2.7% placing Iran as one of the fasted growing economies in the world. Iran's GDP per capita was $170 in 1963 and rose to $2,060 by 1977. The growth was not just a result of increased oil revenues. In fact, the non-oil GDPs grew by an average annual rate of 11.5 percent, which was higher than the average annual rate of growth experienced in oil revenues. By the fifth economic planning, oil GDP rose to 15.3% strongly outpacing growth rates in oil revenue which only saw .5% growth. From 1963 to 1977 the industrial and the service sectors experienced annual growth rates of 15.0 and 14.3 percent, respectively. The manufacturing of cars, television sets, refrigerators, and other household goods increased substantially in Iran. For instance, over the small period of 1969 to 1977, the number of private cars produced in Iran increased steadily from 29,000 to 132,000 and the number of television sets produced rose from 73,000 in 1969 to 352,000 in 1975.

The growth of industrial sectors in Iran led to substantial urbanization of the country. The extent of urbanization rose from 31 percent in 1956 to 49 percent in 1978. By the mid-1970s Iran's national debt was paid off, turning the nation from a debtor to a creditor nation. The balances on the nation’s account for the 1959–78 period actually resulted in a surplus of funds of approximately $15,170 million. The Shah's fifth five-year economic plan sought to achieve a reduction in foreign imports through the use of higher tariffs on consumer goods, preferential bank loans to the industrialists, maintenance of an overvalued rial, and food subsidies in urban areas. These developments led to the development of a new large industrialist class in Iran and the nation’s industrial structure was extremely insulated from threats of foreign competition.

In 1976, Iran saw its largest ever GDP uptick, thanks in large part to the Shah’s economic policies. According to the World Bank, when valued in 2010 dollars, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi improved the country's GDP on a per capita basis to $10,261, the most it ever was at any point in Iran’s history.

According to economist Fereydoun Khavand, “During these 15 years, the average annual growth rate of the country fluctuated above 10%. The total volume of Iran's economy increased nearly fivefold during this period. In contrast, during the past 40 years, Iran's average annual economic growth rate has been only about two percent. Considering the growth rate of Iran's population in the post-revolution period, the average per capita growth rate of Iran in the last 40 years is estimated between zero percent and half a percent. Among the main factors hindering the growth rate in Iran are a lack of a favorable business environment, severe investment weakness, very low levels of productivity, and constant tension in the country’s regional and global relations.”

Many European, American, and Japanese investment firms sought business ventures and to open up headquarters in Iran. According to one American investment banker,

"They are now dependent on Western technology, but what happens when they produce and export steel and copper, when they reduce their agricultural problems? They’ll eat everybody else in the Middle East alive.”

Of course the Shah wasn't an angel, his tyrannical gouvernment heavily suppressed oppositon, but as far as Autocrats go he was one of the better ones.
