This article is about the economically liberal or laissez-faire variant of National Socialism. For the ideology dissociated from National Socialist principles, see Authoritarian Capitalism.

National Capitalism, often referred to by the abbreviations NazCap or NatCap[1] is a totalitarian, economically and culturally far-right, nationalist and debatably fascist ideology (most prominent fascist thinkers and politicians disavowed capitalism) that combines National Socialist cultural, civil and diplomatic principles with free market or laissez-faire capitalism, making it an even more extreme version of Pinochetism (whose authoritarianism is based primarily on dealing with political opposition). He inhabits the top right corner of the political compass, with Pinochetism coming closest to him.

Due to its generic nature, the term "National Capitalism" is sometimes used in reference to ideologies more closely resembling Authoritarian Capitalism, or even Paleolibertarianism and Hoppeanism.[2] In general, "National Capitalism" could be used to describe any ideology that has a an extreme blend of Nationalism and Capitalism.

History

Germany

  • Nazi Germany in the Hjalmar Schacht government - Nazi Germany had a lot of privatization and decentralization of the economy. In the Nazi administration, unemployment was almost extinct and Germany became a rich country, but this was not thanks to Hitler but to the economist Hjalmar Schacht.
  • Hjalmar Schacht - Hjalmar Schacht was Nazi Germany's economic minister known to have been responsible for the economic miracle of Nazi Germany. He was Nationalist, Capitalist, Bancocratic, but unlike most Nazi ministers, he was not racist or anti-Semitic, so much so that he financed some resistances.
  • Alfred Hugenberg - Alfred Hugenberg was a german businessman and politician who advocated policies very similar to lebensraum even prior to the first world war.

Argentina

  • Jorge Rafael Videla - Jorge Rafael Videla was a dictator in Argentina, known for economic growth and human rights abuse under his rule. During his administration, he liberalized the economy, making the economy grow, but at the end of his administration, the economy slowed down. Responsible for many human rights violations, with approximately more than 30,000 victims, such as the persecution of Jews, with them being 10% of Videla's kill count. Survivors claimed that when they were tortured, they saw swastikas and photos of Adolf Hitler.

Estonia

  • Konstantin Päts - Konstantin Päts was an Estonian president (or dictator) before the Soviet occupation. He adopted economic reforms similar to that of present-day Estonia, however, it was in vain because of the Soviet occupation. He banned the political parties and implanted a very ultra-nationalist culture, inspired by Fascist Italy.

Bolivia

  • Hugo Banzer - Hugo Banzer was a dictator in Bolivia, very similar to other dictatorships in Latin America. It banned free speech, liberalized the economy and opened the borders to Nazi refugees from Germany. He also had close relations with Klaus Barbie.

Paraguay

  • Alfredo Stroessner - Alfredo Stroessner, was a dictator in Paraguay financed by McCarthy. He adopted economic measures similar to those of Ronald Reagan and McCarthy. He abolished free speech, committed genocides against rivals and the Aché indigenous people, and sheltered post-World War II German Nazis, including Josef Mengele.

France

  • Henry de Lesquen - Henry de Lesquen is a French politician known for his Internet polemics. He has already made statements such as holocaust denial and racist speeches. He preaches banning modern music in public spaces for "having the spirit of blacks", a capitalist economy, annexation of Belgium and Luxembourg, destruction of the eiffel tower, traditional Catholicism and burning of the labor code.

Malta

  • Norman Lowell

South Korea

  • Park Chung-hee - Park Chung-hee was a dictator in South Korea and the 3rd head of state in modern South Korea. In his government, the economy grew substantially, as it hears numerous economic miracles, the best known being the sharp drop in mortality and extreme poverty. He was also extremely authoritarian, banned freedom of expression and politics, sent homeless people to forced labor camps, and replaced Buddhism with Protestantism, banned the Chinese language and implanted nationalism.

United States

  • Pat Buchanan - Pat Buchanan is a political commentator known for his opposition to neoconservatism, advocacy for "America First" policy and alleged holocaust denial. He was also opposed to George Bush adding new taxes despite his promises.

Interpretations

  • Nationalist Capitalism - One of the interpretations is nationalist capitalism, which is basically nationalist values and a laissez-faire capitalist economy. An example of this could be Hjalmar Schacht, Alfred Hugenberg and the Brazilian political party, Aliança pelo Brasil.
  • Laissez-Faire Fascism - Another variation is Laissez-Faire Fascism, which is based on the governmental, social and cultural values of Mussolini's Fascist Italy, but with a laissez-faire capitalist economy. An example of this could be fascist Italy under Alberto de' Stefani, who lowered tax rates, privatized motorways, the communications industry and previously state-owned life insurance provisions, and achieved a balanced budget by 1924. Another example could be Estonia under the leadership of dictator Konstantin Päts.
  • Capitalist Nazism - Capitalist Nazism, like other interpretations, mixes certain values with capitalism, but they are National Socialist values with a capitalist economy. This is the most used interpretation, there are many examples, especially in Europe and the USA (if you want to see the examples, just go to "Further Information").
  • Hitlerist Capitalism - Hitlerist Capitalism is a version of Nazi Capitalism, except that concentration camps are controlled by private companies, resembling Corporatocracy. An example of this would be the Auschwitz camp, under Rudolf Hoess, in which people were enslaved to private companies.

Personality and Behavior

National Capitalism appears in comics as a shrewd and business-minded National Socialism, and predominantly associates with fascist rather than capitalist ideologies, despite him trying to connect with them. He is rapidly angered when his economic system is associated with the propagation of globalism and progressivism, or accused of supporting Jewish interests.

How To Draw

Flag of National Capitalism
  1. Draw a ball with eyes.
  2. Color the ball gold.
  3. Draw a white circle in the middle of the front of the ball.
  4. Draw a black swastika, tilted at a 45 degree angle, in the middle of the circle. Connect the vertices of the swastika to form an angular S-shape, and add a vertical line down its middle to complete the dollar sign.
