Bolivar was a follower of Classical Liberalism. Bolivar believed in
Republicanism , as he wanted to create a

British-inspired constitution. Despite this, Bolivar, many times, showed his favor towards
authoritarianism. Bolivar was a self-proclaimed
abolitionist, promising to abolish
slavery in
Latin America. He also called for land distribution to
Indigenous peoples.
